Halton KVX Kitchen Exhaust Hoods are designed for use in food cooking areas in schools and show kitchens. The KVX hoods have AS 1668.1-compliant, UL1046-classified, flame-arresting, grease filters that remove grease particulates by cyclonic action. The hood is manufactured from AISI 304 1.2mm stainless steel and features sloped internal faces and a full-perimeter gutter. Down lights illuminate the working area with high Colour Rendering Index (CRI) white light. Test and Balancing (TAB) points allow access to check the exhaust fan is drawing the design airflow for effective capture and extraction. The KVX hood is ideal for classrooms where quiet operation is critical to student focus.
The standard KVX hood does not include a provision for face makeup air, so exhausted air must be reintroduced into the kitchen via natural ventilation or mechanical supply through ceiling or wall diffusers. Refer to the KVX-F models which allow for makeup air through the hood face.
